Mx. Southard lives in the greater Winston-Salem area, less than two hours from Charlotte and a stone's throw away from sister cities Greensboro and High point. They earned an Associates in Applied Science in Digital Effects and Animation Technology from Forsyth Technical Community College, with a Certificate in Game Design. 

Pencil and Paper is Mx. Southard's favorite medium, as it is so versatile and portable, but works with other mediums such as charcoal, watercolor, Sumi Ink and India Ink. Digital art consists of Photoshop, Illustrator and 3D modeling. While photographing much reference material for pictures, Mx. Southard has also developed an interest in digital photography.
